Summer Break....day 1

Yesterday was the last day of school for the younger kids.  Kristen was already out since she didnt have to take any exams.

Of course they goofed it all up for pictures!

We went and picked up report cards this morning and they all did fantastic!

Kristen just finished her first year of high school (I cant believe it either!) and maintained a 4.0 gpa while taking Honors courses!  I am one proud momma!

This boy told me the other night his tooth hurt and that he needed some string to tie to it.

He is almost 7 and has yet to loose a tooth so when it happens it will be a BIG deal.

I told him no string and got some apples instead.

After we got home we decided to clean up a bit and I told him to get his hat off the floor and put it up.  He said he would rather wear it........I think it is about 90 degrees outside.

Brian called me out to look at something while he was mowing this morning.  He noticed a bunch of fur on the ground and stopped to check and saw what appeared to be an animal of some sort partially buried but still alive.  We were not sure what happened so we decided to dig it up in case it was hurt and out hopped 2 baby bunnies!  They were both unharmed but it was a close call!  One hopped into the trees and I found the other in the yard.  I think he was in shock because he let me take pictures of him.  At one point I was inches away.  They were so little!

We really have no plans for the rest of our day for the first time in forever!

I am  interrupting the regularly scheduled blog posting to brag on my kid for a minute.

Hannah and her friend, Kayla, sang in the talent show tonight at the middle school and they did great!

I do apologize for the quality of my video, however I did well just to record it.  The whole time I kept thinking "I sure hope this thing is recording!"

Mother's Day

Do ya'll see that sweet baby?

That is my niece.  She was born at 10:51pm last night.

My sister had been to the doctor last week and they told her that she was not dilated at all and BAM! She started having contractions yesterday morning.

As they were getting ready to send her home and checked her one last time her water broke so after a long day and a emergency c section our sweet baby arrived!

I can't even describe how it feels to see my sister become a mother for the first time.

I am so over the moon proud of her.

My heart is full today!

I can't wait to show ya'll the sweet book my boy made for me!

I'll show ya'll tomorrow.

Happy Saturday ya'll.

Our day has been full of hanging out at home with a side of tball.  I have a horrible sunburn now.  I knew better than to go to the ball field with no sunscreen on.

We finally met with the boy's school to get a plan in order for next year.  It went well.  They are going to accomodate his writing needs while he continues OT to improve his core strength and motor skills.

I found the craft below at the dollar tree last week.

They are little foam like balls that stick together when damp to create things.

It was pretty cool for $1!

I forgot to tell ya'll that we had baby birds!  They were almost ready to leave the nest here.  They were on the front porch and our cats would go crazy whne they heard them chirping!

We have also been enjoying movie time lately.  The girls and I watched "The Man in the Moon" a couple of weeks ago.  They loved it.  I knew they would.

We watch "We Bought a Zoo" last night.  I really liked it and it was great until the little girl blirted out a bad word.  I so don't know why they had to include that.  If ya'll have seen it you can only imagine my face when my 6 yr old wanted to know what that word meant!  It was still a sweet movie.

Well that is all I got for now!

I am hoping I will have a new niece very soon!  There is a super moon tonight!
